- Comment from author about the poem: I had wrote the first verse to this song, 'Redemption Song', a long time ago. This is actually my favorite song written by Bob Marley. I am not sure, but I think that it was the last song he had wrote. I think he had wrote it not to long before he had died. This is actually one of my, all time, favorite songs. Persistence is key
