Her sense of humour was obscure,
Complicated, abstract,
But how did she make all those
Around her cry while they laughed?
Her soft and cutesy nature,
Always so polite,
Hid a wickedly fun personality,
Soon beaming into sight.
Her aura was a powerful thing,
Love of classical tales and fantastical creatures,
Singing, dancing, exploring the world,
Infecting others with happiness on their facial features.
Her hilarious sassy comments.
Making me stop and stare,
Wondering if I heard correctly,
Before hysterically laughing without care.
Her life is lived as a quest, an epic adventure,
To find happiness, friendship and love,
A course she shared freely around her,
For all who wished to fly through life as a dove.
Her love of books is addicting,
Fueling burning fires in all,
So protective of the worlds,
Hidden in pages on her walls.
She constantly amazes me,
Her unique view of life.
She shows me things I've never seen,
And helps me through trouble and strife.
She can read my mind like its nothing,
Predicting my every move,
And I cannot thank her enough,
For putting up with my moods.
She's never afraid of a challenge,
Brave, exciting, bold.
She helps me to be a better person,
I hope that together we will grow old.
She means the world to me,
Holds the title of 'best friend'.
She's someone I hope stays close to me,
Until the very end.

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem was written by both me and my best friend. Her writing is in the bold and mine normal font. Her verses are about me and mine are about her. It was great to write with her and have some fun, but most of all, I just wanted to shout out to her that she is one of the most amazing people in my life and she has helped me through so many difficult times. We have shared so many hilarious laughs together and I hope we have many more to come! So here's to you, Sarah xx
