Glittery Thorns

whisperingquill

I have my
guardian angel
she is a
demon in disguise,

she leaves me
beautifully mangled
feeds me lies
to keep me wise,

I've chased
many birds
and chocked
on a few feathers,

until that sparrow
fell for my words
and showed me
the meaning of forever,

she dances to the
pulse of the moon
I become lost
in the onslaught
of the swoon,

when one yearns
and breaks down walls
the kingdom folds
from a predisposed
lost cause.

As I saunter along
no shadow do I cast
my elegant nightmare
hums a cloaked song
mocking my yearn
for love this greatest
sin will surely last.
