Falling to bits

Mandi

Remain calm, smile, keep up the small talk, don't stop

Do better, go there, do that, do this

Do this

Do this

DO THIS!

Outside is normal, a clean slate with hidden flaws

Inside is chaos, everything a mess from top to bottom

A shell of false pretence that all is well

Moving from one face to the next dead eyes with a smile

Extreme emotions flooding in sporadically

Can time pause and let me take a breath

Just give me a moment to process everything

To try and tape the pieces of me back together

Before it all comes down falling to bits
