Christmas Delight

Poetic_Pixel

Twas the season of Christmas,

And the time of cheerful delight.

Everyone played out in the snow,

In the plains of pure white.

Everyone heads to bed,

To wait for the morning.

To wake up in their beds.

And hear the bells ring.

All the children wake up,

And run down to see.

Boxes of red and green.

Underneath the tree.

They open up the boxes,

To receive their gifts.

As they see what they got,

Their spirits lift.

All they all play,

With their brand new toys.

Every kid was happy,

Every girl and boy.

As the kids scream out,

This day is the best.

The day swiftly ends,

And they head off to rest.

Every kid tucked away,

Under their covers so tight.

As they wait for next year,

Filled with Christmas’ delight.
