REPETITIVE CYCLE

Monica Abrantes

One on one

No time for me.

I am as independent as I can be

A tree perhaps. No time for me.

Until humanity grabs me

By my only branch

Not giving me a chance

To speak nor escape,

Might as well hit and run.

Before I speak or escape

One on one,

Just give me a break.

A tree completes the circle of life and maintains it! Breathing in the carbon dioxide a tree gives off life-giving oxygen. Brilliant write.
