Tune: St Agnes
('Jesus, the very thought of thee')
Psalm 113
********
Praise you the LORD, you servant praise
His name, it now up raise
Blesséd be the name of the LORD
Forever, He the Word
From the rising of the bright sun
That reaches everyone
Until going down of the same
Praise be to the LORD's name
The LORD above all nations high
Is, yet His presence nigh
Above the heavens His glory
Is, by faith we it see
Who is the LORD our God lkie to?
Not many nor a few
Are like to Him, He on high dwells
He great, now each tongue tells
He humbles Himself to behold
All in heaven and earth told!
He raises from the dust the poor
Needy, [on] ash heap no more
He sets such with the princes all
Princes of His people
Makes barren woman children bare
Joyful mother she there
