No Father Christmas

Poeticpayne

Turkey in roast,

Wine pouring,

Children giggling,

Oh Dad! I'm in mourning.

Carol singing,

Christmas cheer,

Crackers snapping,

Oh Dad! You're not here.

Lights twinkle,

Presents new,

Candles glowing,

Oh Dad! I miss you.

easy to relate to words & sentiments that will no doubt resonate with many this time of year... a sad tho goodly read indeed...

So sad. It hurts so much because we have had the gift of their love in our lives. We keep our loved ones in our lives when we remember them. Lovely words of tribute that touch the heart.

Times like this is all more difficult but remembering them helps for sure. Thanks Debs.
