No Longer

Jaayx3

Things haven’t been the same

We haven’t been the same

I can feel our friendship fading

I know I should be hurting

But instead I feel like I’m the only one fighting

You never call, I never call

You never text, I never text

You are slipping away

I should be sad

You’ve been in my life for the longest

But you make no effort to fix what’s broken

You’ve changed

I’ve changed

We are no longer a team

We are nothing but strangers

I set you free

A friendship that is ending, with no chance of resurrection. Perhaps, freedom is the best choice, but the loss will always remain. One of Life's lessons.
A very direct poem that explains it well. - Phil A.
