I Smell Smoke But I'm Cold

Noah Malice

I wish that I could say something
Find the key that I could bring
To you and then you would say
Everything I always hoped you would

But now you seem like someone else
And you've always made me doubt myself
So I never say anything
But now I don't even think I should

I can't say I'll never love again
Because I always think every now and then
Of how different my life would be
If only you'd have stayed with me

So now since I still haven't moved
And you still know me but I don't you
That's just the way it is
And this is how I have to live

Speared through the hungry jaws
Of a frozen bird that never thaws
Straight in my stupid heart
Still calling your name in the dark

Flickering off the cave walls
Passing sound off empty halls
The fire that will never die
Well I've had enough of that lie
It's time for me to say goodbye
