When The World Has Let You Down

kevin browne

When the world has let you down, and there's no one else around.
Stand upon those happy feet to what it is you've found.
Where butterflies whisper gently in your ear you'll end up in heaven.
Upon those heavenly clouds, we'll fly to my room number 7.
Where people cry and laugh at this word turns in disarray.
Leaving alone your side of the story when in March, April, and May.
Flourishing in the humanity of anyone who appears interested.
Where soldiers once roamed our beaches ending up dead.
But, we say we think we are all corrected into believing lies.
There again people in horror in their movies asking why.
And, a poet will read the definition of what's to come.
If only you would wake up to every once of distance run.
The heart has failed by the billions who never ever knew.
If only they turn their attention towards all the things that are true
Oh, having a pen beside my bed let's it write a pretty story.
About how we think of war and all of its saddened glory.
But, we'll regain our strength in order to all be satisfied.
Until that day arrives when you'll discover how the world has cried.
Barton down your hatches and let live the life of nothing.
For there are secrets surrounding this Earthly passion.
Newspapers, newsreels, social media in all its fashion.
So, a young girl dies when her father left her out in the cold.
She died for nothing or no one when she was left out to be told.
So, I'll summer up the sun once more before my ink runs out.
Writing gloriously amongst the many few who are here to listen.
About the stars in the dark nights where everyone is glistening.
I'll see you ever you want to be, and to live without doubt.
Lightening flashing down on your souls flushing us out.
Cry if you need to, but remember to wipe away your tears.
It's been lived through our history, but can't count the years.
Bent over backwards to move forward for someone else.
Running through the jungle to see if there's a pretty house.
Blinded by the darkness we all sit in so we can reflect.
In abundance the destruction, the horror, and neglect.
Raise a glass to those around the world who knows how to care.
In peace, loving, and understanding to the ones who care.
Here in this life sits a diamond amongst our own hearts.
But, there again is the same old story with each of us brown apart.
Sit down beside the edges of what's happening and who with.
Painted faces have worn, but now we know we have a smile that gives.
And, I'll now summer up the Sun which will brighten your day.
I'll write it for you when your feeling to give your life away.
Remember then if you're a rose in full blossom full of love.
If you can share it all to us, and let's pray to the one above.
Oh, Horatio, there are more things in heaven and earth to believe in.
Forgiveness is better than forgetting, but somehow together.
We'll get it together one day when the immortals live forever.
That a story has been written for you and your desires.
It's about the untruth we listen to when we listen to liars.
I'll beckon down to Niagara and the water that flows.
It's brighter than that at night if you remember how it glows.
And, love is at least worth mentioning to the human race.
What's real, what's not, what is, and live in a loving place.
Where love has no ending it carries through to us all.
And, the strength of our own heart's where lives stand tall.
How to love my pen will caress our sinning souls.
But, hey you there after reading this you'll be aiming for your goals.
Life is love, and on top of everything, we have learnt.
Has revealed our history to be on a bonfire being burned.
I'll bless us now for my ink has near enough dried up.
I'll hope in the glory of everything and just pray it's enough.

The right frame of mind to read your works is truly rewarded today.
Encompassing life, love, loss and a whole encyclopedia of life experiences today your piece is amazing. Though i'm guessing only truly appreciated by those with a good few years of living behind them.
Overflowing with your woven pearls of wisdom such as "Forgiveness is better than forgetting, but somehow together.
We'll get it together one day when the immortals live forever".
A must for my favourites, and a big thank you for such a brilliant read.
