Chore

Jabberwocky

He has that ease with you
I knew before the care
Of children and of poverty
Became too much to bear

And you stooped down for answers
In shaving off your hair
And going on the internet
And sharing yourself there.

Now perhaps he's saved you
As I saved you before.
And I'm just glad this saving
Is another's foolish chore.
