Those at my behest…
know that limits persuade
and words orphaned alone
into emptiness hide
with the snow passing on
a new robin will sing
each breath left forgotten
until spoken aloud
as memories fall from grace
—in the silence unnamed

Kurt,
A super and powerful write!
The snow will be gone and the robin will sing. It will sing those āwords orphaned alone into emptinessā...
and they will no longer hide!
Deep and meaningful...
Indeed!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura. I hope you had a great holiday!
Kurt
My pleasure to read and comment your work!
It was great while it lasted. Having most of my family together and celebrate with was wonderful!
I hope it was the same for you! Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year!š
Great to hear. There's only one thing that trumps my writingāand that's
my grandchildren. While they were here, the writing stopped.
All good!
Kurt
How wonderful for you!
I was actually thinking of them during the holidays while I was reading āSammy and Bumpersā to two of my sonās friendās children! They thoroughly enjoyed it! So much so that theyāll find ia copy in their stocking Sunday morning. A traditional Italian custom for children to hang up a stocking on the eve of the Epiphany and hopefully to find it full of goodies on the morning of the 6th...La Festa della Befana!
I did notice that you did not post every day...for a great reason, of course!
I have no grandchildren at this time. I do indulge in the joy of friendsā grandchildren...and āspoilā them a bit!
Now Iāll catch up on reading and commenting my favorite authorās work!
Have a great day!
Your kindness continues to amaze...
Kurt
