The phone rang as the sun rose,
It is not an alarm.
More like an emergency,
Chills ran through my arms.
Sweat ran down my face,
From my forehead to the floor.
My anxiety climbed rapidly,
As the stress waltzed through the door.
Everything seemed to be wrong
The walls closed in on me
My heart sounded like a drum set
This feeling did not feel free.
Please Please help me,
I heard the screams and shouts,
Panic attacks are real,
and that's without a doubt
Balled in a corner,
Looking all over the room.
A glimpse of sun through the window,
Proved that all wasn't doomed.
Stop and close your eyes,
Breathe and take in life.
It wasn't meant to be made easy,
Just stay ahead of your life's fight.
