I Thought, I Said

Brie

I thought you were my everything

I thought you were my love

I thought you were the one for me

I thought we were soul mates

How sorry I am to be wrong,

yet how wrong I am for being sorry

I thought choosing you was best

I thought, I said

I didn't know

I didn't know that he was the one I loved all along

I thought, I said

I really did-still do care for you

But I really thought

And I was really wrong

You have such a sadness but it's so well captured. Well writ.
