love doesn’t do this.

3amrumination

I’ve cried so many times over you,

going back and fourth thinking i need someone new

i’ve questioned my self-worth

but surely love wouldn’t make you cheat, make you treat me worse.

the only time you changed was when you needed me and were alone,

i don’t want you back. just so you know.

love doesn’t create abuse

love doesn’t promote control

and love doesn’t inhibit fear,

what we had wasn’t live. it was staying up at night question my sanity, drowning in tears.

sat here anxious that you’ve found a girl,

am i oblivious to this whole new world?

i can’t take advantage of the changes,

i can’t believe you’d try to make me jealous, what a bastard

do i deserve this. the answer. is yes,

slap my knee. i let you believe you were the best, it is you i most detest.

complacent, even your mum said you were,

with my heart of gold out love grew old, how did i get so hurt?

still hung up on you? no,

don’t flatter yourself, at-least now i can glow.

Have fun getting pied, or even with you new wife,

please i beg. just stay out of my life.
