Once just a child
Wild with wonder
I would sit eyes locked
With the face in the mirror
The longer I stared
The more the face would change
Giving more than a glance
I noticed detailed things
I questioned with a thought
Which face do others see
The one that I glance at
Or the me that looks foreign
Even to me
Lost in a moment
Where I knew
I know nothing
Not at all about how people see or perceive me
Lost in an infinite reality
Where I don’t know who I am
Or if in fact anyone needs me
Feeling insignificant
I searched for love and comfort
Lost in made up stories
I lived through characters glories
To read a book or see a film
With a character going unseen
Then suddenly get pulled Into Some fantasy
Where the worthless one was now royalty
From a world of nothing
To being a savior
Of a world no one ever sees
I drew in close with excitement to see
The depiction of a world near ours or even intermingled
With magic and creatures and the gift of life eternal
But the one thing I read completely enraptured
Was the passion of a heart
For the character who had nothing at the start
In an instant one would go from being unseen
To becoming someone special enough
To love and die for
And fight for adamantly
I thought that these stories
We’re fictional things
But the truth is my eyes were opened
And it’s more true than it seems
See I was brought out of a life
Where the world taught me I was nothing
Then I found Jesus
And everything was shifting
I was brought into a reality
Where we all battle our demons
I went from an orphan to royalty
And there is one who loves me so passionately
He died to save me
I would read those books looking for a feeling
The Whole time I never realized
I had the passion of Christ in my reality
So now like the character in my stories
I’m in an exciting new world where I fight the dark in the spirit
I have a light, a force, an energy that comes from within me
The evil that plagues doesn’t stand a chance
Because of the love of The Son of Man
I walk around eagerly
Loving the people around me
Whether they do or do not see
There is a world full of truth and excitement just waiting for you
It’s no secret
The Lord loves you passionately
And he’s waiting for you too!

I had an idea I would like this before I read it! It is that we don't always believe His love; or we forget it at times, caught up with distractions, etc?
Thank you friend! It’s sad but true how simply people walk around searching for love while they are simply distracting themselves from the truest love there is! I know I did for a long time.
