Determine Our Path

SilverXball

The words came as a flood, abolishing the silence yet again

Uncertainty dripping from each syllable as the words crashed

What has befallen us? Will these expressions enable us to comprehend?

What started as a slight rain became a tempest of new beginnings

Will we continue down this river, or can we return upstream?

To retain these feelings will surely lead to inevitable destruction

Which is why I say these words to you, even if hell is brought in the process

Is this love? A torment of boundless ignorance and bliss

Or are we just trapped in current, pulling and pushing as we continue down the river

    The river of life.
I really like this analogy. Lifes current takes us interesting places, teaches us, rewards us, robs us, challenges us.
