A Half Cup of Sugar Somehow Tastes Twice As Sweet

GON

The sky is coming down

With every tear and every frown

With any shrinking of sound

That dares to be bold and bear truth

I only remember the sherbet hues

Of that last sunset I spent with you

And the light I thought I'd never lose

That light I should have held onto

The rest have seemingly misplaced

The memories I so desperately chase

Of that light and that sound just in case

You happen to remember them too

But if you could if only for me

Try your best to live happily

Even if things occasionally go to shit

A smile is a good way to make the most of it

So if you could if only you please

Pull up at the seam in between your cheeks

Never give in and never say die

Just help me to hold up the sky
