War Against The Wall of Wind

poetboy123

Heart can't find a place to settle

A sharp breath pierces my lungs

Feet stapled against the pedals

Itching to fly before the-

Legs burst into flames of motion

Bike sailing low on the ground

Tires scaling on the ocean

Until I hear it's mighty sound

Batallion of raging air

Crashes against waning will

Meeting tornado-blown black hair

Moment spent locked in stand still

Pedals paused, tires trapped, motionless as

A silent song soars in a sincere soul

Gritted teeth and iron will slams

Up against the wall of wind

Water bursting through a dam

Hope freed from where it was pinned

A fire consumes my eyes

I sear my path straight towards the skies

Against the current and the wind

Racing against destiny

Until light is all I can see
