"Uncle D, what is that",
she asked.
"What is what",
I asked her back.
She pointed out of the window,
at the night's sky.
"That is the moon",
I answered.
I know, but why is it so skinny.
I paused, not knowing the answer.
"I am not sure.
The Lord works,
in strange ways".
She looked at me and said,
"Oh, it's just it looks,
like God's thumbnail"

- Comment from author about the poem: I laughed when my niece Jakiah told me this. Naturally, 'God's thumbnail', was one of those things that is told to little children when something is to hard to explain. - In the beginning, God created the Heaven's and the earth - Genesis 1:1- Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. - Psalm 8:2 - Persistence is key
