I don't think I can hear you anymore
The crickets have taken over
If only I could understand
I would know if you were speaking through them

Maybe I've gone deaf to your white noise
But there are no hands to give me a sign
Maybe you've just left
And it's up to me to bring you back

Sometimes I get angry
I feel you've given up
Either that, or I'm frustrated
For doing that to myself

Maybe you'll come back one day
When you're ready, or feel that I am
But for now I'll be calling on you
Every now and then
Until you finally pick up
