Anger Loosed

Anger Loosed

open a vein

miss the artery

too much anger

for precise accuracy

too much rage

to be confined

to a single page

hatred in red

overpowers the sight

enrages the decision

clouds the vision

purple frustration

inflames the soul

hands around your neck

taking control

I find you in contempt

your crime is your attitudes

spilling acrimony

into my sea of calming latitudes

I know how you feel. I grew up with 3 brothers, two sisters and me. How I wonder why my dear mother covered us all with attention, care and love. On the other hand it was virtually impossible trying to listen to everything they were shouting about. Finding the time to hide away from this was a talent I still sometimes use till this day. I gave up listening when I left school and did my own thing. Don't let anyone hurt your feeling through conversations over the phone. Fave to face is the way forward.

      dear Kevin,

thanks for sharing your experiences with me and for the advice! I appreciate it very much!

      p.s.
I view the telephone as a damned nuisance. I only keep it for emergencies and now, I screen my calls. it took me awhile to learn to do this. I LOVE Caller ID! now the stupid woman sends me long suffering, rambling snail mails! have a great day 🙂

I feel for you - so difficult as it is human nature to love and support others but sometimes they are so up their own - err - whatever - that it just turns you off. It reminds me of those awful news letters telling about the years activities which often accompany christmas cards. Why are they popular in the States - we rarely ever see them in the UK. I don't even know most of the people and I'm just not interested about a visit to Bloggs restaurant when they saw a stray cat and had oysters . They usually go straight in the bin unread.

          dear Michael,

you're so right..."up in their own..." is correct! you gave me a good chuckle! I prefer to have a meal out with friends to share! thank you!

          My Dear Cat,

          Seriously?!!😤

I think you should unleash Eddy on her!
          [I can’t believe I said that]...
but it keeps playing in my head like a tune and I had to share it with you! 😉
I would never wish any harm upon her ( or anyone else, for that matter)...never...ever!
Just a tiny lesson she can learn from!

I have a cousin like that! The best thing I’m doing is to ignore her! She doesn’t like that at all! She wants attention and I’m not willing to give it to her. I’ve stated in my will that she’s forbidden to come to my funeral if she’s still alive ... not even when I’m dead do I want to “see” her! My aunt says she’ll never die because “wicked grass never dies”! A loose translation of an Italian proverb! [La malerba non muore mai]

I wish you well and do ignore those who cause you misery!

A hearty hug 🤗 I send your way!

          With much love...
          ~Laura~

Yes there are people like this, they are not interested in the problems or issues of others unless it affects them.
I find that apathy can be a great weapon.

Who among us hasn't experienced such emotions, for they don't discriminate.

thanks, Neville, I don't rant often, but when I do, the air turns blue!
