Before stepping out of my bedroom I wear you
Each day I wake I wear you
It’s as if I put you on and the world becomes a little less dim
It frees me from this prison of earth I’m in
It hides the overflowing waves of my ocean eyes
It hides the battle wounds of my childhood
It hides the constant pain of emptiness
It hides the broken pieces of my soul
The pieces that resemble glass as it’s dropped to the floor
Piece by piece shattered everywhere
It hides the frown that’s dragged down
Dragged down by those I cannot let go of
It shows my intriguing dark hazelnut eyes
It shows joy
Pride
Happiness
And love
It shows a smile
One that shines from the first
To the seventh heaven
It shows a soul unlike any other
One where you can see the imprint of its heart
Beating
Beating out of its chest
A heart where your fears and worries go to die
This face
Is seen by everyone
The one that’s hidden
Has only been discovered by one
Me

This poem had a lot of feelings in it. I can relate.
You write in a great metaphorical style, nicely poetic how you wear your feelings. Kudos.
