To Colorado

w c

To Colorado

We were on our way

On the road to other scenes

And we let the radio play

As we were traveling

Friendly people helped us

As we made our way

Giving us directions

Every time we strayed

As we traveled along

We had new sites to see

And then they were gone

To become a travel memory

We took breaks along the way

To have our picnic lunches

And excited we became

At the sites upcoming

We always had lots of fun

At each stop we made

Until homesick we'd become

And headed home one day

On our trip back home

We longed to see our friends

And messaged with our phones

Until we were home again

Our vacation was a success

With the mountains high

But our home was the best

And where we lived and died
