Horses and Gates
When the hay bales arrived
Bullet and cinnamon were there
Our horses that we prized
And loved beyond compare
The two always came
Very spirited and alive
We also fed them grain
That we sometimes could supply
Gates were sometimes opened
At times with no one around
With no latch ever broken
Or explanation to be found
An old timer of local fame
Claimed horses could open gates
And he often claimed
He’d seen them do so many days
And the old timer saw
Many other things too
Like math problems horses solved
And how they bowed when through
There were other things that baffled
With no explanation at all
But the old timer knew a rascal
And thought it was his fault

A fine write and pic w c. It reminds me - time to feed our guinea piggies more hay again!
Thanks, orchidee! Pets are the best.
