Will I ever be enough?

prettylittlepoet

I want to be wanted

Someone to look at me

And never want me to leave.

They want me even when

They don’t need me.

I crave to be touched

But not how you think

Touch my mind

Please

Touch my heart

Be my missing link.

I long to be needed

The way I needed him

I wonder how it would feel.

Need me all the time,

not just when you’re feeling grim.

I need to be loved,

Yes really I need it

Let me love someone

Who truly loves me back

A reason to live, a complete fit.

Will I ever be enough?

I will want you

I will touch you

I will need you

I will love you!

But

Will I ever be enough?

To be wanted

To be touched

To be needed

To be loved?

Will I ever be enough?

And if you were ever enough, what would be your next 'I want?'
