I question how I came to earn this love that feels so right
That lifts me when I wake each day and drift to sleep each night
It comes up with the morning mist lies down with evening dew
The pride that rises in my chest each day it feels brand new
Warms me when things are cold and bleak gives me an inner glow
Flares and burns like forest fire, yet is pure as driven snow
Your love is music to my ears each note rings loud and clear
A symphony that captures me each time that you come near
It comforts me when I feel low gives meaning to my life
I strive with every sinew to deserve you as my wife
I see you as a fragrant rose too delicate to touch
Yet want to take you in my arms; I love you oh so much
To be loved by such a woman makes me fully feel a man
To keep you now and ever more I’ll do all that I can
But should I be denied the joy of everlasting bliss
I would drown in the sweet nectar of just one final kiss
