To me

JB

Walk through the enchanted forest,

Past the dancing fairies,

Over the polished blue river,

Around the sparkling plants that bid you distraction

Walk through the city,

Past the crowded storefronts,

Over the busy bridge,

Around the shows and sights that bid you distraction

Walk through the garden,

Past the blooming flowers,

Over the picket fence,

Around the porch swing that bids you distraction

Walk through the gates,

Past the final judge,

Over the pride of man,

Around the notable people that bid you distraction

to me. Perfection.

Oh, how distractions control our minds. Its a sad situation we know not to do at that moment when importance is being dealt with, yet your phone is going off every minute of the day doe some stupid advice in which you give the opposite answer through your frustration of not finishing with your importance. A loud clap of applause for this one.

As much as I agree with you, and I think this is a valid interpretation of the poem, that wasn't the intended meaning. The intended meaning was that the subject of the poem skipped through the best and most wondrous parts of life chasing perfection. Then again, it's a poem and you can take it as you will.
