To my husband

Kasia Kevan

The first time we met

I wanted you to be my man.

I wanted someone to make me happy

And I trusted that you can.

Your smile so inoccent

Your eyes so true.

My heart started pounding.

I knew what I had to do.

I had to make you mine,

And make the world see

Just how truly happy

You make me.

Now I'm the happiest woman

I have you in my life.

Nothing made me happier

Than becoming your wife.

I fall asleep in your arms

Every single night.

So warm and safe

When you hold me tight.

I wake every morning

To your sweet tender kiss.

When I am alone

It is you I always miss.

To spend my life with you

Is all I really want

To be with another

I just can't.
