Breathe

JB

In for four

Hold for seven

Out for eight

Watch the roses outside

The overwhelming red turn beautiful

In for four

Hold for seven

Out for eight

Watch the rain outside trickle down the window

And bet on which drop will win

In for four

Hold for seven

Out for eight

Listen to the humming distraction of the boy across from you

Try to hum along

In for four

Hold for seven

Out for eight

Finally look back down at your paper

Calmly answer the question

In for four

Hold for seven

Out or eight

A good write JB. Erm, I didn't get the hang of it. I breathed in for four, then held it for seven hundred. Some wag had adjusted the poem, and added 'hundred'! I blew up! heehee.

I liked this, from beginning to almost the very end... I think maybe you need an F in the final line.. otherwise this guys gonna burst... N
