When the sun sets on another day
You are once again on my mind
I don't know how it came to be
But I think about you all the time.
When I close my eyes to sleep
I can see your smiling face
The sparkle in your eyes
You have completely taken over my life.
I dream about your warm embrace
What it would be like to spend the day in your arms
The feel of your gentle kiss
Imagining you are mine.
When I wake I want to tell you my dreams
But I doubt you feel the same
How do I tell you my feelings
Without scaring you away.
Why must I feel this way about you
Why can't you feel the same about me
I need to stop torturing myself
And just be happy I have you in my life.
Even if it is just as a friend.
