Carpe Diem (A Rant)

jointedace

"Weightless moment "
Is how Rilke describes
That feeling which grips a boy as he loses himself rushing into the field,
And has just enough breath and time to be.
"When Morning comes alive and is aware of itself", he adds.

The feeling we often label as seizing the moment,
But how do you get to taste it's magical flavor?
Does it come to you
Draped as an exotic moment,
So that you can try and grip it whole?
Or do you dive into it with just the surface in sight?

It's like dancing, knowing no one is watching you.
The veins of hope don't pulse with hymns of past
Or try to conjure hums of future
Because they're busy resonating with the tunes that linger.

The slight feet of scents,
touch and pop memories that don't drag you back with their fading echoes.

The warmth which settles,
as your thoughts calm the chaotic dissonance and fill with sweet frequency of your deepest desires,
you don't fly away on it, just let it slip it's fingers and embrace you whole.

Your Heart doesn't drown in a bottomless space when the clutter of regrets, guilt and hurt pierce through your pockets.
When the cry of scars burns and eats itself
And you can feel the song of your Heart lament,
almost bursting out.
When overwhelmingness doesn't itch as you melt into it.

I guess that's when Time stops to have a word with you
when you are finitely present
But infinitely aware.
