Claudelle DeLuna

COULD WE BLAME THE SUNSET?

Could we blame the sunset?

for a love born in the cold of a rainy winter,

where the sun decided to hide,

secretly speaking to the moon in the ear,

making it shine and glow indifferently through night,

distant at 150 million kilometers away from earth,

standing firm, yet floating like waves lost at sea,

 Could we blame the sunset?

for sentiments carried easily on the sleeve,

where soulful feelings are the lover’s protagonist,

screaming out of every pore on the skin,

marking seasons for unknown purposes,

mars making love to venus intrepid conjunctions,

Let’s accept and love beyond all reason
