When The Sun Hits A Water Drop

daydreaming

I feel a cool sudden breeze
It gently touches and comforts me
The leaves have fallen
The birds have departed.

Like the seasons that constantly come and go
You were always expected to go with the flow
You always sensed that something's not right
You let the chips fall where they fall.

You lived in a world that was easy for some
Others you knew couldn’t go very far
You always sensed there’s more to life
You did it your way, I don’t need to cry.

You showed me the things that matter most
Your kindness and patience, I remember them both
You taught me the meaning of friendship and love
And for that, you will live in my heart on and on.

As the winter approaches, I see the sunrise
The light hits hundreds of small water drops
It marks your direction, I know where you are
Look at the light as the sun hits the drops!

I’ll miss you forever, you knew me so well
You touched my life in so many ways
The moments we shared I’ll never forget
Your friendship has made me a much better man.
