Unfaithful

daydreaming

I shut the door then close my eyes

There’s not a glimpse of light or hope

I try to sleep, you come right in

I know you want to fight some more.

When I get home you shut me down

There’s nothing I can say right now

You simply swear, keep telling me

I’m not the man I used to be.

A few years back we got along

But then you kept expecting more

You hear me say I give you things

Don’t ask for those I just can't give.

Come challenge me, don’t break my things!

I have some needs you can’t fulfill

You then get mad, keep blaming me

I can’t control the way I feel.

Accept the things that I can’t change

Let’s work on things that I can change

And if you choose to stay with me

You need to know, forgive me, please

I just can't love you

The way I did…
