A Little Catholic Girl.

kevin browne

A little Catholic girl, gone and broke her heart
A little Catholic girl is crying from the start
Her story begins when shes' fallin' in love
Beauty upon her heart, a gift from above'.

A little star like the seven sisters in the sky
Like a gander black and white, so ask why
Always likes to say a prayer to meet a man
Temptations restricted to ever holding hands.

The blooms of truth seemed unreal at least
Not a lot of room if you're looking for peace
Guess she'll flutter as a flapping butterfly does
She'll kiss a hundred honeybees as they buzz.

The little Catholic girl gave her heart this day
For some reasons misunderstood she'll say
Wish upon a broken branch, her on a stake
True love only matters if her hearts in place.

She will Runaway and hide up in the belfry
Invisible as the worn out ink she can't see
And, if she decided to take another chance
She'll come down from the tower to romance.

She got caught up in blistering heart attack
After that in her heart, she drew a lovers map
To find someone to love she'd thought it out
But, every time she showed off a little doubt.

Nothing ever matters even what we say or do
Little Catholic girl made all her dreams come true
And, if ever there's a question all about this love
Then ask Mother Nun who's gone to sleep above.

  • ANGELA & BRIAN

HI KEVIN : My PAPA is Spanish and I was raised as a Good Catholic Girl : My PAPA was very very protective : I think He would have been happy for Me to be a NUN ! I was raised in England (My PAPA is a Wine Merchant : RIOJA). The English GIRLS seemed more open about sex and some YOUNG TEENS were on the Pill ! Some of My Male Friends thought I was too cautious (sexwise) and knew I was not on the Pill and that I was a Devout Catholic : They joked that i would make a good NUN ! My PAPA wanted me to marry a Catholic Spanish Boy ! I was introduced to some but they are a bit thin on the ground in Essex ! I met BRIAN two years ago and he was English and an Evangelical Protestant Christian ! However when He met PAPA he conversed with Him in fluent Castillian Spanish : He was knowledgable about Spanish Wines and is a competant Classical Guitarist : Well travelled in Spain and understands Spanish Culture (A-Level Spanish !). All My Family LOVE BRIAN : There is a GOD : AMEN
Your lovely Poem rang a distant BELL !
Blessings & Thanks from Sister ANGELA !

A tale with much meaning and told with your usual way of using good comparisons - a touching read Kevin.
