An Hourglass of Time

Gino

Lying on the sands of time,

tiding on a world bed-terrain,

watching as the sun sinks

into a nocturnal vigilance

looming over our bedtime dreams,

...As the inevitable siege takes hold...

Threading the night-time seas

on a blanket of imagination,

...sieving an hourglass of time,

Churning words between time and you,

...as thoughts slowly dip in motion

on a siege of yesterday's blues

Sojourning on a bye-gone memory,

...through a midst of nostalgia

on a highway of unrest,

reminiscing that rekindling find

With hearts turning and changing

in a beat, your face

dissipates to fade,

...for your love yields an eternal fill

in a celestial wilderness of fate

The twilight hours concur

desiring that fatal hold,

...as the morning sun beckons

in the stillness of the break,

...underlining our diligent hope

in an old comfort that left us

bare at the fold...
