confusion

lainacarson98

i thought you were a willow tree

for all i did was weep.

then the leaves that had me

turned to teeth.

and i caught myself in a rose tree.

the vines had thorns that tore my skin

i dreamed of love since i was a kid.

you took that love

and ate it up

just like a venus fly trap would.

I like you use of imagery from nature, especially the weeping willow, made me feel forlorn.
