The Theologian

SerenWise

I restlessly wander

Through terrain unknown

Only to find your photograph,

And feel like I might belong.

Aesthetically wondrous,

Like an era gone by,

The deep earth cradles your bones -

Constellations shimmer

In the darkness of your eyes.

I long for a letter,

Just a single word

To keep the darkness at bay...

Just cradle me in intellect,

Wrap me in a blanket of thought,

Where I know I can belong.

An artiste,

You and I,

My gaze turned to the sky,

While your shoulders rest

Like the mountains on high.

Theologian's can wonder too as they wander with purpose, heads turned t'ward sky................ intriguingly revealing, if I may say so.... N
