Gently

AJ

I am dull

Not shiny

I have not been buffed,

Polished,

Or filed

I’d like to be the one

To show you,

Whoever you may be,

That mundanity is important

I’ll tell you in a whisper

That my brightest memories

Are my slowest moments

As time falls away

And I refuse to be consumed by it

I’d like to be the object

Of your slowest thoughts

I’ll ask, in a whisper

May we lay in silence and watch the world together?

    It read like mindfulness
As I laid in silence and watched the world.
