Don’t let them in, they only break you down

Like a beast wreaking havoc, from town to town

 

You’re a tortured soul on the run

Triumph to agony the curse won’t come undone

 

Against the grain, and up right again

Your spirit can’t be tamed

 

No matter how high you go, you always fall down

Chasing your ghosts and dreams

 

Amidst the the darkness and hellfire that rains

Broken promises wrap you in chains

 

Though you scream for mercy and cry out in pain 

your voiceless cries are nothing but shame

 

Throw up your hands and join the slain

This demon will crush you but only in vain
