Reflection..

P.H.Rose

A poem I’ve entered for a competition...

“I am not a religious man, but am

              a Lover of words”.

 Twelve themes of Reflection and

Discernment.. number 10. Silence

               Reflection..

Watching my windows reflection

As this day slowly moves on along

     tears that I cannot hide

this time breaking out into song.

You hold me to account my love

but the cost feels expensively dear

most times I sit in a crowd alone

Other hours I can taste my own fear.

I see daylight take a seat in my night

And the very dark within my day

I see those conversations of silence

but Also in silent’s deafening play.

Watching this slow road overload

From dawn then up until dusk

No method behind all this madness

these Seeds without any husk.

I can smell those blood Red Roses

Long Before they are all cut

the feel of my pulsating heartbeat

through ears it will never touch.

No sound can absorb within you

As I stare into your glass sight

No answers to questions I ask you

I just carry on my lifetime led fight.

Looking for all those lost years

Before its away and then gone

remembering that daily led thunder

within days where I could not belong.

                                             Norman.
