Living Unclaimed (+3)

Kurt Philip Behm

Present ordained,

  past—future in shame

The Poet and Jester

  as one

Living unclaimed,

  free and unnamed

Archangel and Devil

  —undone

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2016)

Nighttime Has Answered

Will the words come,

  will the words go

Are they forever,

  how do I know

What do I think,

  what do I feel

Memory escapes,

  a spoke off the wheel

Written in blood,

  spoken in rhyme

Forever to echo,

  forever sublime

Daffodils scatter,

  a wolf howls at bay

Nighttime has answered

   —I kneel and I pray

My Spirit Set Free

Poetry allows me to combine what I think with what I feel.  It lets me drive toward a point while being pointless at the same time.  The beauty of the metaphor masking the philosophical content, pulling the reader in without questioning why.  Both sides of my brain becoming fully engaged—my spirit set free.

Hiding From The Light

We worship inside the dark rapture

  of our own becoming

Hiding from the very light

—that promises to show us the way

    Kurt,

The words will come because your muses deem it so! The words will forever be because your mighty pen will deem it so. Your words will forever and always be remembered because your readers will deem it so! Forge on with your mighty pen...your readers are awaiting!

    Sempre avanti!
