A princess on Dragobete

chris frank

Finding her position, finding her peace,

The princess drifts into a dreamless sleep.

Not sad, not happy her life rolls on

While all the while, in distant shores

Her love lies waiting, her life lies frozen.

They all await while she makes her leap.

A day for lovers, she wakes without him

A day for her to see her future drift away.

Only she, with her lovers help

Can stop the clock, make her dreams believable.

A dream they know will light their lives up,

A dream she knows is closer than she dares to think

In her heart she knows where she should be

The man she knows will protect her dreams.

A field of gold, a blue hand of sapphires,

An unreal proposal he would make whole.

On Dragobete she should be the princess,

She can tell the prince, she can make it real.
