Us

luckykarma

We are all children,

our fellow earthlings bring out the best of us.

swept off our feet by waves of empathy and compassion when we see the struggles of one another

flushed rosy with adoration when we see the smiles of one another

tickled with joy when we see the dancing of one another

giving all we have to help one another

We are all children,

our fellow earthlings bring out the worst of us.

sinking deep into bitter envy when we see someone basking in greener grass

swallowed by heartbreak when love slips through our fingers

drowned in anger when someone says the wrong thing at the wrong time

risking our lives for a war created by our own kind, against our own kind

We are all children,

sprouted from the same seed

the same love

the same soil

bloomed into endless colors and shapes and sizes.
