Alone

Gigilovesfood

She walks inside

Closes the door

It’s dark 

No signs of life

Not a single sound 

 

She looks around

Hoping to see light

To calm her down

Nothing

 

She yearns for life

Yearns for sound

to give her hope

Nothing

 

Silence

It’s haunting

It’s suffocating

It’s speaks the truth

 

She’s alone

No one to hold 

No one To call her own 

 

She falls to the floor

And weeps

With only the darkness

To witness the loneliness 

She keeps

    Absolutely painful loneliness expressed here. Very dramatic presentation. Loved the use of darkness as an atmosphere for pain. No light to be seen, only loneliness. Very sad but impressive poetry. - Phil A.
