My heart dips and soars, because of you.
But I am drained.
My insides twisted and coiled, hurting, waiting for you to come home after we threw insults back and forth like a ball on fire.
People say a kiss with a fist is better than none, but how is that so?
How is a mark filled with hatred better than something so passionate and meaningful.
I'm sat here, slumped. Waiting. But it's always me to fall down and hit the board after a checkmate.
Who knew love could be so black and white.
Yet the heart, shades of grey.
Is a twisted, toxic fate worth the lack of abandonment.
Only time will tell how much the shades will merge.

Heartbreaking...🖤🖤🖤
Wow. I resonate with this so much...
It reminds me of arguments I've had with my partner.
Is that line from a florence and the machine song? It's the first thing I thought of!
Faved x
"Kiss with a fist" is used in one of Florence and the Machine's song, very powerful line. Thank you so much for favouriting! X
Yes I thought so I love her and it's such a good lyric! I don't know if that's where you got it from but it goes so well with your poem! X
