I knew a man,
Who would not cry,
He would not weep,
He would not sigh,
He'd show the rest,
He was the best,
Resist the chain,
Of endless pain,
All his tears,
All his fears,
He could not show,
As others would know,
He tied the noose,
Checked it wasn't loose,
Decided he could cry,
Before he died.
I knew a man,
Who would not cry,
If we had talked,
Maybe he wouldn't have died.
