More than you think

Crystal Hope

She looked at herself in the mirror.
She wished that all her fat would disappear.
She thought she was ugly
because all she felt was chubby.

Her heart sunk when she went shopping
because she always felt like stopping.
She did find clothes and decided to try them on
but it seemed like all hope was gone.

She tried on one silky, red dress.
She thought "It fits fine, I guess."
She stepped out to look at the mirror
and saw a lady sitting right near.

She sighed at her image
and all she could do was grimace.
"You look amazing" someone said.
Her eyes bugged out as she turned her head.

Pushing all the negative feelings,
she finally realized she actually was appealing.
The woman smiled as she started to smile
and that smile lasted a long while.

She went out in that dress
and she totally felt her best,
but it wasn't the dress that made the part
it was the happiness and confidence in her heart.

A fine write I'm sure, but it's all appeared in Greek to me - honest! Without looking up the translation, I worked out first line: 'She looked at herself in the mirror'. I could come back in about 3 weeks, when I've translated it all. lol.
